Here's Minette in a pic from the same photo shoot as this one. It was my first try at using film grain as an intentional feature of the photo.

The trick is to use a fast film and underexpose it to some degree, process normally, then compensate when scanning. This frame was two, maybe three stops underexposed.

Photographed in available light on Fuji Superia 800 film, rendered black and white in post-production.
