I did mention just a few weeks ago that I enjoy the creative challenge in making these posters for the Candyass Club cabaret.

This month I was asked to create an impression of a historical woman and artist completely unknown to me until now, namely Frida Kahlo (look her upOpens in new window, while maintaining that Candyass Club touch.

Velma took care of the Candyass touch (natch) as well as the woman. I was left with creating the impression.

The effect was achieved through intentional application of bad photography techniques in camera. No Photoshop filters special effects were applied.

The next Candyass ClubOpens in new windowFamous Women, takes place this coming Friday.

Photographed in my studio with a Sony A900 DSLR and continuous studio lights.
